Real Spy Gear or wireless surveillance gear for a really cool best man gift? Bet you might not have thought of that one yet.
What to get my guys for a groomsmen gift has always been easy. We loved playing spy games and acting out missions ever since we were kids. The only down fall is that we would have to take turns playing 007 while the rest would play the bad guys. Back in the day before the cool gear I would pretend I had Spy Cam Sunglasses, a Waterproof Hidden Camera Watch or a Spy Pen Security Camera and that was only the beginning.
Our missions could last for days before we would get tired of that one just to plan another. So I always knew that I would get my best man and groomsmen friends some really cool spy gear like the famous spy pen or hidden camera key chain. Heck, today you can get hidden cameras in clocks, smoke detectors and even a motion-activated USB hidden spy camera. This stuff is just too cool. You never know when a wireless hidden camera might be needed.
Groom pulls a double switch with Breakdancer during his first dance!!! At this wedding, the groom decided to play a prank on his guests. During there first dance as husband and wife, the groom stopped, and put on a PHANTOM MASK (note – as a teen, he used to always mimic the PHANTOM, so the guests gave a little chuckle thinking the groom was being is normal jokester self. When he walked to his table to get a rose for his bride, he ended up hiding under the table, and a world class Breakdancer / BBOY appeared wearing the same suite, tie, and mask….. No one noticed anything, until the music switched, and the dancer went into footwork, wind mills, etc… the crowd was stunned.. he then went back under the table (pretending to trip and fall), and the groom re appeared to finish his dance!!! I have a young boy who is like 10, and he is a candlelighter along with his little sister and I have an 18 year old as a groomsman, I am needing to get them both something that is age appropriate. I obviously don’t want to get the 10 year old a flask or a shot glass, and the 18 year old is the brother of the groom and I think my mother in law (soon to be) will have a cow if I get something promoting underage drinking for her son.
Getting married in a double wedding with my sister on Sept. 1. We are having the whole event on a dinner boat and originally thought there would be no rehearsal (just us in the living room) because the boat is usually in use. Now we’ve found out that we can have a rehearsal on the boat… but does this mean we also have to host a rehearsal dinner? We don’t have a large wedding party – only 2 best men for the 2 grooms ( my sis and I are each other’s MOH). But if all our siblings etc are expected to also attend the rehearsal dinner, it could get very expensive and the wedding is already so expensive. Of course the groom’s parents traditionally pay for the rehearsal dinner, but we can’t exactly ask them to or expect it, especially on such short notice. I don’t mean to be cheap but we’ve already spent so much and I don’t want to go into debt… we’re not greedy, we’re having a "no gifts" wedding. I don’t feel like I have the energy to plan the rehearsal dinner 2 weeks before the wedding when I haven’t even had time to get the license yet! Advice on what to do about the rehearsal /dinner?
In addition to the six of us (2 couples & two best men), my brother’s daughter is the flower girl so she should (maybe?) be there, which means her parents too because she’s only 5. Then my mother wants to come because she’s in a wheelchair and wants to practice getting into the boat via the ramp and getting to the handicapped restroom, which means my father (to drive) and her attendant have to come to… so it is turning out to be more than just the 6 of us….
