The other day as I was watering my hanging ivy I got to thinking how this plant is kind of like my buddy and I decided to start giving plants as gifts. Shortly after I got my ivy I named him Fred and find myself asking him questions every now and then. Mostly I ask if he needs watering or if he’s getting a little long. Anyhow, Fred has brothers and sisters and I was thinking how nice it is to have them around. The great thing is you can buy house plants online and then have them delivered to your door or straight to the person whom the gift is intended. That way you don’t even have to leave your house if you don’t want.

Earlier when I said Fred has sisters I meant that these are the plants with flowers that are pink. Sometimes a name comes easily and other times you might have to look at your new buddy for awhile or care for it a bit before the name comes. Then you’ll know if it’s a girl or boy.
